Kids in Business is a business-focused organisation that provides children with the opportunity to learn about business and entrepreneurship.

We offer a variety of services, including:

Kids Market Selling

We host monthly markets where children as young as 6 years of age can open their own businesses and sell their products or services to the general public. We provide training on how to maintain books, track sales, cross-sell and upsell, and provide great customer service.
Each month, we have amusements and special guests to attract the public, giving children a hands-on experience of running a business.

Kid’s Business Courses

Our business courses for kids have been created to cater for children as young as 6 years old and teach about the different types of businesses, how money works, how to budget and maintain records and more.

Stepping up from that is a more in-depth look at the creating business plans, creating proposals, sourcing products and onboarding customers and a more comprehensive teaching of bookkeeping and budgeting.

Our advanced course is mostly hands-on and actually has the kids opening their businesses, registering ABN’s, business names and GST, creating a brand and marketing campaigns and launching the business.

These courses will be available in the last quarter of 2023 and will continue as a permanent offering thereafter.

Career Expo

The Kids in Business Career Expo is unique in that we offer our attendees a first-hand look at the skills required for different occupations with live demonstrations, breakout sessions with lessons on how to get themselves ready for leaving school and into the workforce and we put them in front of a variety of options for them to consider when leaving school, be that further education like University, TAFE or work traineeships and apprenticeships.

Attendees at the Kids in Business Expo will hear from young entrepreneurs and get a look into how they created their wealth and how they started as well as have the opportunity to speak to a variety of different professionals to get a deeper look into what is involved with the different occupations.
It might very well be an introduction to certain occupations, sparking something within them and giving them more options than they initially thought they had.
